How to describe an agreement so Closign drafts it right
When you describe an agreement in Closign, the AI does two things: it picks the matching template from our library, and it fills in the details you mentioned. It doesn't write new legal wording; the clauses come from the template. So the more you put in your description, the less you fill in afterwards.
1. Say what kind of document it is
"NDA", "offer letter", "freelance agreement", "experience letter". If you're not sure of the name, describe the situation: "we're about to share our pitch deck with an agency" is enough to find an NDA.
2. Name the people and companies
Who is it between? Give names, and company names where a company is signing: "between [your company] LLP and [client] Pvt Ltd, signed by [their director's name]".
3. Include the numbers
Amounts, currency, dates and durations: "₹2,50,000 a month", "starting 1 November", "for 12 months", "confidential for 3 years".
4. Mention the terms that matter to you
Payment schedule, rounds of changes, notice period, probation, the city whose courts handle disputes. Anything the template asks about can be filled in from your description.
5. Keep it to a few plain sentences
You don't need legal language. Write it the way you would explain it to a colleague.
Then review it
You see the filled-in document before anything is sent. Answer anything the AI couldn't fill in, change any clause, then add the signers and send.
If we don't have a template for what you describe, Closign tells you instead of guessing. Browse the templates we have, or upload your own PDF and place the fields yourself.
